In the old days, you would think that all is lost and you can throw your peripherals into the trash (this is still the case with some Microsoft models).
Luckily Logitech and Dell have made it easy for us to reprogram any replacement dongle to connect to up to 6 different peripherals at once!
how do we pair our Logitech dongle with a replacement keyboard or mouse?
Download and run the Logitech Connection Utility (please note there are 2 versions of this.
One is for the unified edition of peripherals, with the orange logo, and the other utility for all the devices without the orange logo);

How do I Know Which Dell Products are Compatible?

Once you have downloaded a suitable app, follow the instructions to pair your peripherals. Usually, it’s a matter of turning it off and on or something similarly simple.
You can mix & match and pair different keyboards and mice. It’s pretty cool!

After learning that I can pair Logitech and Dell peripherals, I see no reason to buy sets by Microsoft or other vendors who does not have this simple feature and make you throw out your beloved KB&Mouse set to the trash in case of unfortunate dongle misplacement or break.
