My Life in a short paragraph
Hello Good People!
People call me Data (since i finished TNG for the 2nd time :))
my name is Chen,
I am a 44 year old IT Specialist.
been on computers since i was 8, that’s when i got my first IBM PC, i loved it to the point where i had to understand it.
Professional History
in 2000 i took my first IT Technician studies.
tried a PC Technician certification, worked as a freelance for several years.
I felt like it’s too unstable for a living, so i started teaching myself anything that i found interesting.
after 6 years i managed to get myself into my first IT Job in a organization, where i was for the next 8 years.
i picked up any subject i could learn there such as: networking, virtualization, telephony, servers, DBA, Linux, firewalls, etc.
2011 i studied Web Development, however, teacher wasn’t the best i can get teaching me, so it was tough.
eventually i found myself learning on my own, and never got to work with it.
2013 i left that job then found a new job as a System Administrator, in a small startup.
most of the work there was configuring ,troubleshooting and VPN tunnels using checkpoint firewalls.
planned several SMB Customers networks, the work was great the people was too non human for my taste.
2015 i found my current job, IT Specialist.
I love my Job, love the people there, and i get to keep my learning on going.
however, when it comes to dreams, through the years my brain got numb.
routine \ kids, and the fact that i didn’t get to buy a house (or at least is what i managed to figure out was the cause).
all that lead me to a medical error.
and now…
lying down in the ICU, i noticed that my brain started dreaming again, seeing light again, and i felt like i want stuff again.
that got me thinking i should advance my knowledge further.
what should i study?
maybe pick up a new programming language? maybe a new IT field ?
Chose Linux+ and python.
this website for the web development part.
this is my leap of faith…
i hope you enjoy the content and find it useful..
